Phil Schmid to lead on healthcare investment transactions at JLL


Phil Schmid, an experienced director within JLL’s Healthcare team, will be leading on the generation and execution of investment transactions in Healthcare. He will be joining JLL colleagues already delivering corporate transactions in Healthcare enabling JLL to provide clients unrivalled execution capability for both investment and corporate transactions.

Phil has over a decade of experience across the healthcare sector and is a specialist in retirement housing and adult social care related assets. He has provided advice to a range of clients including care home operators, sheltered housing providers, retirement village developers, extra care providers, and primary care.

Previously he has advised across the public sector from local authorities to central government and the NHS providing valuation and occupational strategy advice, before working focussing his time with operational educational and care entities on disposals and development.

Phil will join JLL’s Alternatives transactions team with over 15 colleagues focusing exclusively on healthcare and Alternatives transactions. He will continue to work very closely with more than 20 colleagues in the Healthcare advisory team. The team has worked on ground-breaking deals such as the recent management buyout of care home operator Oakland Primecare by Synova Capital.
