About Health awarded key new contract in Greater Manchester worth £8.4m
Totally, the provider of a range of out-of-hospital services to the healthcare sector in the UK and Ireland, announces that its wholly-owned subsidiary About Health Limited (“About Health”), a leading provider of dermatology and referral management services to the NHS, has been awarded a new contract (the “Contract”), to provide community dermatology services to Manchester & Trafford Clinical Commissioning Groups (“Manchester & Trafford CCGs”).
The Contract will run for a period of three years, with an option to extend for a further two years at the Contract’s conclusion. The Contract, including the extension, is worth a total of circa £8.4m.
Wendy Lawrence, CEO of Totally plc, said: “I am delighted to announce About Health’s largest contract to date and the first of 2020 for the Group. In November 2019, we announced that About Health had secured two new contracts and four contract extensions in the six-month period to 30 September 2019, so we are extremely pleased to see that this momentum is now being carried into the new year with this latest contract win.
“This important contract win reflects About Health’s continued ambition to increase its presence across the UK, and to consolidate its position as a market leader in community based dermatology services. We now look forward to getting underway across Manchester and to developing a successful long-term relationship with Manchester & Trafford CCGs.
“We would also like to take this opportunity to provide our shareholders with an update on Totally Healthcare Limited, our specialist business targeting the market for insourcing of healthcare services. The business has made a solid start since its launch in October 2019, working with hospitals and trusts across the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and England. To date, it has secured total revenues in excess of £750,000, treating hundreds of patients across a range of clinical specialties. Our team has demonstrated that it has the experience and skills to establish significant relationships and deliver excellent patient care, reflected in patient feedback.
“The Board is pleased with the Group’s progress and we remain positive that Totally Healthcare is well-positioned to benefit from the developing market in which it operates. We look forward to providing further updates in due course.”
