Shawbrook Bank hires Dasos Kirtsides to lead expanding healthcare business

A leader in specialist finance for healthcare equipment, Shawbrook will now expand its range of funding solutions to address a broader range of needs within both the NHS and the private provider market.

– With 24 years’ corporate and commercial banking experience, 14 of which have been dedicated to the healthcare sector, Kirtsides is the latest high profile specialist to join Shawbrook’s rapidly growing Business Finance division.

Dasos Kirtsides has joined Shawbrook Bank as Head of Healthcare.
Kirtsides will be responsible for continuing to build the Healthcare team at Shawbrook, as the Bank seeks to expand its proposition in the sector.
Long established as a provider of asset finance to both public and private healthcare providers, Shawbrook will now offer a broader range of funding solutions to address more diverse needs across the sector – including funding for growth, property and acquisitions.
Kirtsides has been in corporate and commercial banking for over 24 years, with more than 14 years solely dedicated to the healthcare sector. He joins from Santander, where he played a significant role in developing their healthcare finance business.
Kirtsides notes:
“This is a fantastic opportunity for me to help develop a new healthcare lending proposition, building on the sector knowledge and experience that already exists in Shawbrook.
Having financed a wide range of specialist healthcare equipment over the past 20 years, from cutting edge cancer therapies, diagnostic technologies and even ambulance fleets, we will now be able to support NHS and private providers with additional funding solutions.
Wherever good quality healthcare providers are struggling to find appropriate funding from the high street because their needs are simply too complex, the team we now have in place at Shawbrook is well placed to meet that challenge.”
