Do you have a great design project for this year’s Pinders Healthcare Design Awards?
The 2020 Pinders Healthcare Design Awards will be presented in March next year but entries need to be submitted by the last day of November 2019 so don’t hang around. Whether you’re an architect, developer or the end-user operator, if you’ve been involved in a design project to be proud of, why not showcase it to a wider audience?
And, if you think only high-budget schemes can win think again – it’s not about how much you’ve spent, but how well you’ve spent it! We’re looking for style with substance.
We welcome entries ranging from small extensions through to village communities; for both elderly and younger-adult care and from both the private and not-for-profit sectors.
As well as looking for innovation and attention to detail inside the buildings, the judges are also keen to receive entries demonstrating great design of external spaces – gardens, terraces, balconies – and how these have been made readily available to the users of the service.
Great design always starts with the intended recipient, so your entries should focus on explaining your design objectives and how successfully these have been delivered. How has the design made life better for those who live and work within the finished article?
Your entry doesn’t need to be as long as War and Peace or as flashy as the tv adaptation! We need to see plans and photographs but otherwise simply set out what you have achieved and why you think it worthy of an award. Of course, that does still require some time and effort so what can you expect in return?
The projects which are successful in reaching the final stages will each receive a trophy and £500 to donate to a good cause of their choosing – providing excellent opportunities for promoting your project. And, more importantly, the finalists are guaranteed places at the sell-out Awards lunch, with the chance of picking up one of the coveted winner’s trophies and being featured in Healthcare Business magazine.
