Erling Haaland to Manchester City: Pep Guardiola puts the desired star striker from Borussia Dortmund

The rich are getting richer. Manchester City, already considered the most talented team in the world, has added Erling Haaland, who is arguably the best young player in the game, according to CBS Soccer Insider Fabrizio Romano. The former Borussia Dortmund player is seen by many as one of the best strikers in the game and has had an incredibly prolific career despite being only 21 years old.

Haaland completed a medical with City on Monday and will be announced this week as a new citizen player, to fill the void in the striker that has plagued the club over the past few seasons. His first full season in Germany saw him net 41 times in 41 matches, and so far this season he has scored 28 goals in 29 matches. In 199 professional matches for the club, he scored 154 goals.

Haaland was actually born in England – Leeds specifically – where Marsh, his former manager, is now coaching him. Haaland’s father, Alf Inge Haaland, was playing for Leeds at the time and later moved to Man City.
