Hamberley unveils new £13m luxury care home in Kent
Hamberley Care Homes is celebrating after opening a new £13m luxury care home in Kent this month, its sixth care home in a growing group across the UK.
Nesbit House, a 60-bed state-of-the-art home in Badger’s Mount, Sevenoaks, will create over 100 new jobs for the local community and includes a wellbeing and beauty salon and a deluxe cinema amongst its many impressive features.
The home is named after Edith Nesbit, author of the well-loved children’s story The Railway Children, who settled for three years with her family at nearby Halstead Hall.
Hamberley Care Homes are pioneers of the ‘Homemaker’ model of care – an innovative approach that replaces the traditional carer with a more holistic role combining care, companionship and housekeeping, all in one person.
The award-winning model means that residents enjoy a much more personalised care experience, just as they would within their own homes.
Hamberley Care Homes CEO Paul Hill said that he was delighted that the new home was open to welcome new residents .
He said: “Nesbit House is a fantastic addition to our growing family of care homes. The state-of-the-art facilities are the perfect place to introduce our innovative Homemakers model of care to the local community.
“We put people at the heart of what we do, creating communities where people want to live and work and so it is wonderful that Nesbit House can offer such stunning surroundings to do that in.”
In July over 150 members of the public joined Nesbit House for an Open Day and got a sneak preview of the home and it’s luxury interiors.
Registered Home Manager Chrissie Heyes said: “We’re delighted to show our local community everything that Nesbit House has to offer.
“We’re a home with a heart – yes we have outstanding facilities, but what is most important is our culture of care, how we make people feel and how we can help support people.
“Nesbit House is a wonderful place to live.”
Nesbit House is part of Hamberley Care Homes, a group of luxury homes opening across the UK.
The Homemaker model recently earnt Hamberley Care Homes the title of ‘Residential Care Provider of the Year 2019’ at the prestigious Health Investor Awards.
Nesbit House would like to welcome members of the public to visit and look around the new home.
