Orchard Care Homes shortlisted in care awards

Orchard Care Homes, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist residential, dementia, nursing and short-term respite care, has been confirmed as a finalist in this year’s Care Home Awards.

A celebration of excellence and innovation across the care home sector in the UK, the Care Home Awards are the annual benchmark for care home management, operations and delivery.

The Care Home Awards attract senior level judges from across the care sector, who will decide winners for each category in the coming weeks. The winners will be announced at a presentation in the Palace Suite at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London on Friday May 15th.

Orchard Care Homes have been transforming the business operation for the last three years, with over 88% of its homes now being rated ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC. In 2019, Orchard launched a new, innovative, evidence-based model of care – Reconnect – that transforms the way people with dementia are cared for in residential settings. Orchard has also been a proactive voice in the industry to improve the perception of the care profession, in order to attract more people to join the sector.

Hayden Knight , CEO at Orchard Care Homes commented on receiving the news: “I am delighted for Orchard Care Homes to be shortlisted as one of the finalists. The team at Orchard have embraced a number of new projects over the past 12 months, and being shortlisted is a testament to their hard work and dedication to providing the very best quality of care across all our homes. Our residents deserve nothing less.”
