Showrooms open to showcase spectacular new residential care facility

Excitement is building for a Surrey-based care group as it prepares to open the first phase of its brand-new luxury residential care facility to the public.

Nine of the 25 stunning new en-suite bedrooms available at CHD Living’s latest development, Brownscombe Lodge, have been released to showcase the stunning lifestyle on offer at the multi-million-pound expansion.

Located in the grounds of Brownscombe House Nursing Home in Haslemere, Surrey – the group’s first acquisition in 1984 – the new Lodge will be a beautiful residential care home, set within three acres of terraced landscaped gardens.

Shaleeza Ladak, head of hospitality and communications at CHD Living, said: “We are incredibly excited for the opening of Brownscombe Lodge. As a group, this is one of our biggest developments to date and after months of seeing it all come together, we are so excited to showcase what we’ve been working so hard to achieve.

“At CHD Living, we are committed to providing the very best services and facilities for our residents. Moving into a care environment can be an incredibly daunting prospect and we know that one of the best ways to make the transition easier is to provide a comfortable, home-away-from-home for the people who live here. With Brownscombe Lodge we have gone above and beyond to provide the very best facilities for the benefit of all. We can’t wait to welcome people.”

With completion expected for later this year, each of the 25 large, private, full en-suite bedrooms in Brownscombe Lodge will come equipped with a multi-positioning, electric profiling care bed, a HD flat-screen TV, private telephone line, free Wi-Fi, option of SKY TV and a nurse attendant system.

In addition, there will be a range of facilities on offer, from a bistro with live show kitchen and chefs table, a cinema room with adjoining business centre, fitness pod, hairdressing and spa facilities, landscaped terraces, sensory lounge, all weather winter garden, Japanese sensory garden and aquarium.

Other facilities on site include outstanding nursing care at Brownscombe House nursing home, which has been inspected and rated ‘Good’ by the CQC. In addition, the group is also set to open eight luxury, independent living apartments in Brownscombe Cottage, each of which will be interior designed, with their own kitchen, shower-room and lounge, a private house manager and access to all facilities at Brownscombe House and Lodge. By arrangement, residents can also have access to room service meals, visiting homecare services and laundry services.

As part of the new development, Brownscombe House Nursing Home is also due to be modernised throughout, and residents will have access to all facilities within the lodge.

This new facility, known formally as Brownscombe Care Residences and comprising of 60 bedrooms and apartments, will, at completion, provide a sanctuary for the local community wishing to plan for their long-term care needs. Our full suite of care will provide exceptional, independent living and a seamless transition into Brownscombe Lodge for residential care or Brownscombe House for nursing or dementia care.
