Sunrise and Gracewell announce new partnerhip to boost employees’ skills
Sunrise Senior Living and Gracewell Healthcare have recently announced a new partnership with The Skills Network, which will offer team members a range of training qualifications through a pioneering new online learning portal.
Under the new training initiative, team members working for the care providers will have access to a range of online courses run by The Skills Network, an organisation which offers a range of distance learning self-study courses developed alongside awarding bodies.
The exciting partnership emerged after 500 team members at Sunrise Senior Living and Gracewell Healthcare achieved at least one of The Skills Network learning qualifications. To build on this success, the care providers decided to develop a new Sunrise and TSN learning portal which can be accessed by all team members across the country.
The new portal enables team members to access training opportunities either online or by completing a workbook as well as a combination of both: enabling them to learn at a pace and in a way that suits them best.
The partnership provides all employees at Sunrise Senior Living and Gracewell Healthcare with access to fully funded training, developing their skills and knowledge in a range of areas; including team leadership, safeguarding in health and social care, nutrition and health, and customer service.
Each course will also give each team member a nationally recognised level 2 qualification, and promote career progression and upskilling across of all Gracewell homes and Sunrise communities.
Dawn Buchanan-Hole, Learning and Development Manager at Sunrise Senior Living, said:
“We are very excited about our new collaboration with the skills network. We remain deeply committed to offering all our team members excellent continuous professional Development opportunities, and we believe that this new partnership will enable us to deliver new, innovative and more engaging ways to deliver learning and training.”
